<p><br />The process of appointing referees for fixtures is completed every week for the coming Sunday.</p><p>Appointments will be completed by the Wednesday evening, so if you have not received a Full-time notification by then, then unfortunately a league appointed official has not been found for your fixture. Please feel free to seek a referee of your own or a coach, parent or other person can be used as long as it is mutually agreed by both teams. If you are really struggling for a referee towards the end of the week then please drop us an email (<a href="mailto:referees@bcfayl.c.uk">referees@bcfayl.co.uk</a>) and we will send out a message to our referees to see if any of their availability has changed.</p><p>If you are a club that arranges their own referees, please can you let us know so that they can be registered with the league. This ensures that the safeguarding processes are followed, DBS, safeguarding training etc. This also ensures that appointments are not duplicated and that we do not end up with more than one referee on a fixture. If this happens then a league appointed official will always take precedence and must be used.</p><p>Please ensure that your kick off times are updated on Full-time to increase your chance of having a league appointed official as we cannot appoint an official if your kick off time is still shown as midnight.</p><p>As a league, we are working hard to try and recruit more referees for the panel and retain the ones we currently have. We have improved our game coverage considerably in the last couple of seasons and continue to do so, but we still need further support from the clubs in terms of looking after our officials and making them want to return the following week. Most of our referees on the league are youth referees (Under 18) and should be easily identifiable by a yellow armband.</p><p>Any abuse of referees is taken extremely seriously by the league and the FA and will be vigorously pursued</p><p>Please email Justin or Steve at <a href="mailto:referees@bcfayl.co.uk">referees@bcfayl.co.uk</a> for any questions.</p>
